Agricultural & Experimental Farming Program
Teaching the kids to grow their own food is one of the most valuable lessons in an agricultural country. At AHLE we have a substantial vegetable garden where every year the kids plant cucumbers, beans, tomatoes, kale, mustard leaves and more. We also grow plantain, banana, avocado and mango trees, along with a chicken coop for eggs, and a beekeeping project for honey. The children actively care for the garden and animals. In 2014 we obtained an additional piece of agricultural property near AHLE where corn and yuca are planted every year and by 2025, our experimental farm became "off the grid" with solar-powered water pumps and an on site well. We are grateful for any donations to support our agricultural program.
